The Ken Raper Memorial

The Raper memorial Trophy was donated by the Raper Family in memory of Ken Raper who was killed in a road accident whilst driving near his home in Healsville on the11th June 1987

Ken had been an active member of the committee, & as a competitor, driving his Chevy Impala.

No doubt there are still quite a few members that would remember Ken for his driving skills of the big Chev & his work for the club.

The Raper family asked Ken Zinner & Ted Brewster, both long standing life members to decide who should receive the Trophy at the end of each year.

Tradition has always been that only Ken, the engraver & Ted know who the recipient is; therefore the name is covered with tape for removal on the night.
