NEWSFLASH ‘Our’ Humpy Holden finishes Monte Carlo Rally

Club Member Gary Poole, who built the 48/215 Holden replica of the car that Lex Davison, Stan Jones and Tony Gaze used to stage Australia's first and only overseas rally effort in 1953 has finished the 2013 Monte Carlo Rallye Historique.

With Craig Lowndes and Richard Davison the unlikely car battled the most atrocious snow and ice conditions on its skinny tyres, drum brakes and vacuum wipers to finish in second last position against a much more modern historic field, in around 250th position.
